 Dear Readers,
I am happy to share that my first novel 'Glenapp Castle- A Scottish Intrigue' won Honorable Mention in the category of Mainstream/Literary Fiction in the Writer's Digest 18th Annual International Self- Published Book Awards in 2010.
The inspiration for this story came from a visit to Scotland's southwest coast in 2004. My husband and I were guests at Glenapp Castle Hotel and I knew immediately my first novel would take place there. I traveled to Scotland several times, once for a month, to do research and to capture the true essence of the magnificant beauty there. They were some of the most joyful days of my life.
My daughter, Brooke Marvin, came with me to take photographs for the twenty-five wonderful pen and ink illustrations, one for each chapter. You can sneak a preview on her website...
